Partial Retubing Project

Boiler Repairs

We carried out a partial retubing job in anchorage off Batangas Philippines in early January 2020. Although owner did not provide us with the Kangrim Boiler drawing, we are still able to carry out this job as we have the drawing in our record for this 18-ton boiler.

Renewal of Furnace Wall Project

Boiler Repairs

We renewed 15 furnace wall tubes in Singapore anchorage in August. Job was carried out under approval of ABS and completed in 6 days.

Inspection & Water Level Pipers Replacement Project

Boiler Repairs

This job started as just an inspection job in the shipyard to determine the boiler condition and owner wanted a Boiler Specialist for this inspection. We carried out the inspection and renewed the water level pipes with a shell insert plate.

Composite Boiler Repair

Boiler Repairs

At Singapore Anchorage, Composite boiler repair carried out by our local SBS team working around the clock. Supposedly around 50 tubes were leaking and needed to be replaced, however, a pressure test to locate leaking tubes showed 169 leaking tubes. Supply of additional tubes and renewal of 169 smoke tubes was carried out in exhaust gas side of the composite boiler, randomly located and removed / installed one by one. After successful renewal of the 169 leaking tubes, all remaining tubes in Exhaust gas section and all pin tubes in oil fired section was Hydro jet sprayed and cleaned for severe blockages.

Vessel recently drydock in Singapore shipyard. Burner was dismantled and transported back to SBS workshop for overhaul and service including renewal of refractory for burner cone. Turnaround time was 3 days.
